Casey Anthony suspected in disappearance of her daughter Caylee in Florida

ORLANDO, Fla., Jan. 7 (UPI) -- State prosecutors in Florida say a circuit judge should protect evidentiary photos and X-rays in the Caylee Marie Anthony killing.

Prosecutors involved in the first-degree murder case of Caylee's mother, Casey Anthony, have asked Circuit Judge Stan Strickland to restrict the release of the images only to those experts working with the defense, the Orlando (Fla.) Sentinel said Wednesday.

Assistant State Attorney Linda Drane Burdick said in the prosecution's related motion there is concern the images of Caylee's remains may find their way into the public eye.

"It has been widely reported that the major media outlets have paid substantial sums of money for 'licensing fees' for photographs and videos of Caylee Marie Anthony depicting her image while she was still alive," Burdick said.

A defense attorney had requested the release of the classified materials for expert analysis and Strickland has granted that request, ordering the prosecution to turn over the documents this week, the Sentinel said.

Caylee's remains were found last December near the Orlando home where she had lived prior to her disappearance in June.
