BAGHDAD, Jan. 5 (UPI) -- Two separate bombings in Baghdad killed at least two Iraqis, including a police officer, and injured 10 others, authorities said.

Iraqi police said a policeman and a civilian died when a bomb exploded near International Sheab Stadium, the Kuwaiti news agency KUNA reported.

In the other incident, a bomb exploded near a gas station in eastern Baghdad. Four of the injured were reported in serious condition.

The two explosions followed a Sunday blast that killed 40 people and injured 72 in the Al-Karada area of Iraq's capital city.
