Taliban kills two suspected spies

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan, Dec. 21 (UPI) -- Taliban militants in Pakistan have killed two Afghan nationals they claim were spies for the United States, officials said Sunday.

The bodies of the two brothers were found Sunday in an abandoned village in North Waziristan, Press TV of Pakistan reported.

The news agency reported that a note hanging on the bodies said the two men were abducted from their houses in Khost, an Afghan city near the Pakistan border.

"They were spies. They had been spying for U.S. forces," the note reportedly said.

This year, the Taliban has killed dozens of local tribesmen and Afghan nationals accused of spying for the U.S. military.
