BROWNSVILLE, Fla., Dec. 16 (UPI) -- Police say they're hunting for a gunman who sprayed a group of men playing dominoes and killed two people, including a baby, in Brownsville, Fla.
Ten-month-old Derrick Days Jr. was sitting outside on his father's lap when a masked gunman emerged from a white Dodge Ram and opened fire, The Miami Herald reported Tuesday.
Days, 30, of Miami, who was not injured, had gone to Brownsville to visit Pierre Roche, 27, who was shot and died Monday, police said. Roche was the son of a Miami police officer.
Another domino player, Christopher Smith, 22, is recovering from a shoulder wound.
Days told police the gunman appeared to be aiming for Roche in Saturday's shooting, said Maj. Veronica Ferguson, a spokeswoman for the Miami-Dade police.
Members of the community are being asked to donate to a reward fund, said the Rev. Jerome Starling, whose 5-year-old niece was killed by a stray bullet in 1997.
