Police: Teen attended mom's sex party

DETROIT, Dec. 8 (UPI) -- A Detroit mother has been arrested after allegedly hosting a sex party that involved her 16-year-old daughter and 19 prostitutes, police said.

Wayne County Sheriff Warren Evans said an undercover officer with the department's Special Operations Unit infiltrated the gathering at the 39-year-old woman's home after police received a tip that underage girls would be participating in the sex party, The Detroit News reported Monday.

The home was raided at about 4 a.m. Sunday by officers from the Southeast Michigan Crimes Against Children Task Force and the Violent Crimes Task Force. Officers said they found two 16-year-old girls dancing partly nude and determined one of the girls was the daughter of the alleged hostess.

"It is bad enough to think that a 16-year-old girl would fall into this type of exploitation, but to find out that her mother allegedly was encouraging it is just sickening," Evans said. He said it was not known whether the girls were offering sex for money.

However, he said the party was also attended by 19 prostitutes and about 20 men. Evans said the participants paid a $15 cover charge to enter the party and paid additional money to the prostitutes in exchange for sex.

The alleged hostess and three men accused of helping to run the party were arrested and charged with operating a house of illegal occupation. Evans said the mother will likely face additional charges.
