HEBRON, West Bank, Nov. 29 (UPI) -- At least 11 people were injured Saturday in clashes between Jewish settlers and Palestinians in Hebron on the West Bank.

Those wounded by stone throwing included seven Palestinians, two Israeli border guards and two Jewish teenagers, Ynetnews reported.

Jewish settlers claimed Palestinians kicked off the violence in the early morning by hurling stones. They said at least four Jewish children were treated for injuries at the Kiryat Arba clinic.

This week, a Palestinian living in the area told Ynetnews that violence from settlers had escalated recently from property damage to the throwing of large rocks aimed at causing serious injury or death.
