Rapper pleads guilty to manslaughter

LONDON, Nov. 29 (UPI) -- A 18-year-old man who created rap music under the moniker Danger has pleaded guilty in London to charges of manslaughter in a teenager's death.

The Daily Telegraph said Saturday that Liam Palmer had stood accused of using a piece of cement to fracture the skull of 16-year-old Iyke Nmezu in a dispute over musical lyrics posted on the Internet.

Prosecutors in the case alleged the rapper had been upset with Nmezu over lyrics he felt were directed toward him. Following a tense argument regarding those lyrics, the pair's dispute turned physical and Palmer grabbed a nearby chunk of concrete, prosecutors alleged in London Central Criminal Court.

Nmezu died two weeks later of a brain abscess and a fractured skull, both of which doctors at an area hospital failed to notice during the teen's hospital visit after the incident.

The Telegraph said Palmer, whose 20-year-old brother Daryl admitted to offering a fake alibi for his sibling, will be sentenced Monday morning.
