BUCHAREST, Romania, Nov. 28 (UPI) -- All campaigning for the upcoming parliamentary elections in Romania will end Friday night, officials say.
HotNews.ro reported that after midnight Friday in Romania, no electoral campaigning will be allowed as the country's citizens prepare for Election Day on Sunday.
The campaigning ban includes all advertisements, interviews and electoral news.
Favorites in Sunday's election include candidates from the Democratic Liberal Party, the Social Democratic Party and the National Liberal Party.
HotNews.ro said there has been speculation that the Social Democrats and the National Liberal Party may create a governmental alliance.
Sunday's elections will not only help choose the country's next parliament members, but will also tab Romania's prime minister and government.
