PETROPAVLOVSK-KAMCHATSKY, Russia, Nov. 24 (UPI) -- A magnitude 7.0 earthquake struck Monday off Russia's remote Kamchatka Peninsula in the Sea of Okhotsk, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
No reports of damage have been received from the area, which is 195 miles west-northwest of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Russia, CNN reported.
The temblor struck at approximately 8 p.m. Monday. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center hasn't issued any tsunami warnings in connection with the earthquake, the broadcaster said.
