Study: More than half of pets overweight

PERTH, Australia, Nov. 23 (UPI) -- A kitten born with two faces in Western Australia survived only three days before choking on fluid in its lungs and dying Saturday.
When the kitten was born at Swan Veterinary Clinic in Midvale outside Perth, veterinarians did not expect it to last long, Western Australia Today reported. The head veterinarian said in a radio interview she did not expect it to last through the night.
The male was one of a litter of three, but its siblings were normal. While the kitten ate out of only one of its mouths because the other had a cleft palate, it could mew with both and at the same time.
The kitten was released from the clinic to spend its last hours with its mother.
