TORONTO, Nov. 21 (UPI) -- Toronto detectives suspect a man concerned about finances killed his wife and two adult children before killing himself this week.

Officially, police said they won't identify the four victims until after autopsies are completed Saturday, but police sources told the Globe and Mail they were Keith DeLong, 66, his wife Wanda, 66, daughter Elizabeth, 41, and son Richard, 38.

The sources said Keith DeLong stabbed his family to death before shooting himself with a rifle. The family poodle was also found dead in the home Wednesday, the report said.

Neighbors in the east end residential area told police they didn't hear any shots or unusual noises that morning.

The Globe said the investigation was focusing on the retired IBM employee's financial stress. The couple's modest bungalow was newly remortgaged earlier this year, and the cost of caring for the disabled son who lived with his parents was rising. In addition, DeLong and his wife were scheduled to fly to Mexico Thursday to care for his ailing 92-year-old mother-in-law.

Police said at a Wednesday news conference no suicide note was found in the house, although a handwritten note was taped to the front door that said "Do not enter -- call police."
