Four deaths ruled triple homicide, suicide

TORONTO, Nov. 20 (UPI) -- Toronto police said Thursday the four bodies found in an east-end home a day earlier were a result of a triple homicide and suicide among family.

At a news conference Thursday afternoon, Detective Sgt. Pauline Gray said there were no suspects at large, and a man taken in for questioning after the discovery Wednesday morning had been released.

Gray said the only note found in the house was one taped to the front door that said "Do not enter -- call police."

Gray refused to identify the victims, saying there were many family members out of the country who still had to be notified, but said the identities would be released after autopsies were completed Saturday.

She also refused to comment on whether weapons were found in the house or on local media reports the family poodle was also found dead.

The Toronto Star quoted neighbors as saying the house owners were Keith and Wanda Delong, who lived with their disabled adult son Richard. There were unconfirmed reports the couple's married daughter was visiting at the time, the newspaper said.
