HARRISON TWP, Ohio, Nov. 19 (UPI) -- Police in Ohio were holding three suspects in the shooting of a man found dead under a decorated Christmas tree, officials said.

Rufus Childers, 33, of Columbus was shot in the head and chest Tuesday in a residence in Harrison Township, the Dayton (Ohio) Daily News reported Wednesday.

Montgomery County Sheriff Phil Plummer said investigators suspect the gunmen were going to rob Childers or someone in the house.

The newspaper reported Jesse McIntyre, 27, and Melody Graham, 32, were arrested by Moraine police at a Super 8 motel. A third suspect, Steven Meadows, 44, was arrested in Riverside, Ohio. All three were being held in the Montgomery County Jail.
