MOYOCK, Va., Nov. 19 (UPI) -- A deal has been struck that will allow security contractor Blackwater Worldwide to operate training vacilities at its Virginia-North Carolina training camp.

The (Norfolk, Va.) Virginian-Pilot said Wednesday the agreement struck last week includes a 1-mile buffer zone between the facilities and Blackwater's neighbors.

The newspaper said the deal was negotiated by the security contractor, officials in Currituck County, N.C., and residents of the town of Moyock, Va., after it was revealed last spring that Blackwater's facilities had spilled over into Currituck County.

The county requires a special-use permit. The agreement this month satisfies the requirement for the existing driving track and four shooting ranges.
