CHICAGO, Nov. 17 (UPI) -- A man's body pulled from Lake Michigan was positively identified Monday as that of a missing Northwestern University student, school officials said.

Alan K. Cubbage, vice president for university relations, said the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office in Chicago had notified the school the body was that of Trevor J. Boehm, 20, of Monument, Colo. Boehm had been reported missing Nov. 9.

The first-year student's body was found during the weekend. His jacket and identification had been found on the lake shore Thursday.

"Our hearts go out to Trevor's family and our thoughts are with them at this time," said Northwestern University President Henry S. Bienen. "The death of one of our students affects the entire Northwestern community. We join the Boehm family in mourning the loss of Trevor."
