Sweden won't extradite neo-Nazi suspect

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Nov. 16 (UPI) -- A Danish resident of Sweden cannot be extradited to Germany to face charges he distributed neo-Nazi "white power" music, an official says.

Swedish Chancellor of Justice Goran Lambertz has denied a request by a Frankfurt prosecutor to send the man to Germany, saying he broke no local laws, the Swedish news agency TT reported Sunday.

Lambertz said activities outlawed in Germany, such as using the swastika symbol and denying the Holocaust, are legal in Sweden and so the suspect cannot be extradited. German officials say the man forwarded racist music manufactured in Australia from Sweden to neo-Nazis in Frankfurt.

Denmark, meanwhile, has approved the extradition of two leading figures of the Scandinavian neo-Nazi movement, Stefan Gunther and Flemming Christiansen, to Germany, TT reported.
