COVINGTON, La., Nov. 13 (UPI) -- Louisiana investigators say that Ku Klux Klan documents were found in the home of a man accused of killing a woman during an initiation.

Chuck Foster, 44, of Sun, La., has been charged with the second-degree murder of Cynthia Lynch, 43, of Tulsa, Okla., CNN reported.

Fred Oswold, head of criminal investigation with the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office, said that the documents found Foster's home included membership applications and lists of leaders, CNN reported. The group appears to be one of a number operating in Louisiana and claiming the KKK mantle.

"So far, we have learned that they were a small group, but they were fairly organized," Oswold said.

Investigators say that Lynch got in touch with the group over the Internet and came to Louisiana to join. She was at a campsite in the woods near Sun when she said she wanted to leave and was allegedly shot after an argument.

Police found her body under brush after getting a tip about the shooting. They arrested several suspects nearby.

Oswold said that most of the Klan members in Sun, 60 miles north of New Orleans, appear to be under arrest.
