HYANNIS, Mass., Nov. 13 (UPI) -- A spokesman for U.S. Sen. Edward Kennedy, D-Mass., said the lawmaker, who is suffering from brain cancer, plans to go sailing during his winter vacation.

Spokesman Keith Maley said Kennedy is feeling well enough to take his sailboat, Mya, down to Florida for use during the winter congressional breaks, WCVB-TV, Boston, reported Thursday.

The senator spent a great deal of time sailing during the summer and fall months while recuperating from treatment he received in May for a malignant brain tumor.
