LONDON, Nov. 13 (UPI) -- The mother of Baby P, an infant who died in London due to abusive behavior, has had a child while in custody on related charges, a police source says.

The unidentified police source said the mother, whose identity was not released, has begun the legal process to obtain visitation with her newborn despite her recent conviction on abuse charges, The Times of London said Thursday.

The woman, along with her boyfriend and a third defendant, were scheduled to be sentenced in relation to those charges Dec. 11 in London's Central Criminal Court.

The maximum prison sentence each defendant is facing is 14 years, The Times said.

Meanwhile, a prison source has accused the woman of openly discussing the abuse her boyfriend inflicted on Baby P before the 17-month old boy died from more than 50 injuries.

"She showed no remorse and showed off about how she watched porn while her boyfriend abused the child," the anonymous source alleged.

"She described her bloke as 'a bit of a nutter' as if it was all quite funny. She said she loved him so would just let him get on with whatever he wanted to do."
