BARRIE, Ontario, Nov. 10 (UPI) -- A 15-year-old Canadian boy who ran away from home over a computer gaming dispute died in the Ontario wilderness of a fall from a tree, police said.

Brandon Crisp left his home in Barrie on Oct. 13 after his parents confiscated his X-Box computer system. Hundreds of police and volunteers scoured the area but his body wasn't found until last Wednesday when a group of deer hunters happened upon it.

The group told Ontario Provincial Police the body only became visible at a distance of 5 feet, the Orillia Packet & Times newspaper reported.

Dental records were used in an autopsy Friday in Toronto to identify the body and injuries to his chest consistent with a fall were seen, police said. Foul play was ruled out.

Barrie Police Sgt. Dave Goodbrand told the newspaper the time of death hadn't been established.

"The OPP is still trying to piece together the time line," Goodbrand said. "It's still too early to say why he was where he was and what he was doing."
