Six hurt in Iraq roadside blast

BAGHDAD, Nov. 9 (UPI) -- Six Iraqis were injured Sunday when a roadside bomb blasted a busy intersection in Baghdad's Zayoonah neighborhood, sources say.

The Kuwait news agency, KUNA, cited an unnamed security source saying an improvised explosive device exploded Sunday morning in the Zayoonah neighborhood, targeting an Iraqi police patrol.

The news agency said the blast injured six Iraqis, including two Iraqi police officials, and damaged civilian cars.

Elsewhere in Iraq, a U.S. Army patrol was attacked by another bomb near eastern Baghdad's Al-Shaab neighborhood. KUNA said no word was available on possible casualties from that blast.
