JERSEY CITY, N.J., Nov. 9 (UPI) -- A city councilman from Jersey City, N.J., was so intoxicated at a Washington nightclub that he urinated on several concertgoers, club sources allege.

The unidentified sources said Jersey City Councilman Steven Lipski allegedly was caught urinating on a crowd during a Grateful Dead tribute band performance at Washington's 9:30 Club, the New York Daily News reported Sunday.

One anonymous club source alleged Friday night's incident did not mark the first time the councilman's drinking got him into trouble at the club.

"We've dealt with this man before," the source alleged. "He's never peed on anybody, but he gets really belligerent and drunk."

Police called to the scene arrested Lipski for allegedly urinating from a nightclub balcony and charged him with simple assault.

The Daily News said the 44-year-old official is serving his second term as a member of the Jersey City Council.
