MEXICO CITY, Nov. 4 (UPI) -- Mexican Interior Minister Juan Camilo Mourina was among at least four people killed Tuesday night in a fiery jet crash in Mexico City, sources said.

The government jet, with nine people on board, went down about 7 p.m., striking the city's financial district SDP El Sendero del Peje reported. The Learjet 25 had flown to Mexico City from the northern state of San Luis Potosi.

Several more people were reported injured and it wasn't clear whether any of those in the plane had been rescued,

Mexico City Mayor Marcelo Ebrard said the fire had been brought under control and nearby buildings were evacuated.
