JEFFERSON CITY, Mo., Nov. 4 (UPI) -- Jay Nixon is become Missouri's next governor, after serving as the Show-Me State's longtime attorney general, the St. Louis Post Dispatch reported Tuesday.

Nixon, the Democratic nominee, was running against Republican Rep. Kenny Hulshof to succeed Republican Gov. Matt Blunt, who did not seek a second term.
