JERUSALEM, Nov. 3 (UPI) -- Four right-wing political factions in Israel said Monday they have united to form a new party focused on education, morality and security.
The new party, to be headed for now by Yaakov Amidror, unites the National Union, the National Religious Party, Tkuma and Moledet, Ynetnews.com reported.
"Following 27 years of splits, we are going for a move of unity," said Zevulun Orlev, formerly of the National Religious Party.
Members of the coalition said they would seek public participation in naming the new party, whose motto is "Uniting in a new path: Putting education first," The Jerusalem Post reported Monday.
