Poll: Almost half in U.S. creationist

TEHRAN, Nov. 3 (UPI) -- Iran's president says Parliament does not have the authority to impeach his interior minister for lying about having a degree from Oxford University.
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said he won't attend Tuesday's impeachment session because he doesn't believe in the legitimacy of the proceedings against Ali Kordan, Press TV reported Monday.
"Ministers should only be impeached based on their performance," Ahmadinejad said in a statement.
Kordan has been under pressure from parliamentarians to resign since last month he acknowledged he was in possession of a fake Oxford University degree, Press TV reported,
