BOISE, Idaho, Nov. 3 (UPI) -- An Idaho man convicted of three murders, already under a death sentence, was sentenced Monday to six consecutive life terms in prison, officials said.
Joseph Duncan was found guilty of the 2005 murders of Brenda Groene, Slade Groene and Mark McKenzie. He was sentenced for their deaths. He was also sentenced Monday on seven related charges, including kidnapping and two counts of aggravated sexual abuse, KTVB-TV of Boise, Idaho, reported.
Duncan was also sentenced to 10 years each on four additional miscellaneous counts. He was sentenced to three death penalties in August for the kidnapping and killing of 9-year-old Dylan Groene.
In all, Duncan has been sentenced to death, six life sentences and an additional 40 years in prison, the station reported.
"Your crimes exceeded all bounds of human decency and has left society in a state of shock," Judge Edward Lodge said. "You must now pay the price with your own life."
