WALLINGFORD, Pa., Nov. 2 (UPI) -- Republican presidential candidate John McCain told supporters in Pennsylvania Sunday morning he senses a victory over Democratic rival Barack Obama.

Speaking to an enthusiastic crowd of about 2,000 in Wallingford, Pa., the Arizona senator said he's been in many campaigns and knows "when the momentum is there," CBS News reported.

"This enthusiasm, this kind of welcome, we're going to win Pennsylvania, we're going to win this election," McCain said. "I sense it and I feel it and I know it."

The audience interrupted McCain several times with shouts of support.

McCain appeared unswayed by polls indicating he trails Obama, the senator from Illinois, with the election just two days away, CNN reported.

"I want to repeat to you one more time, my friends -- we're going to win, and we're going to bring real change to Washington," he said.

"With your help, we can win. ... We need a new direction, and we have to fight for it.

"Two days, two days to victory."

CNN said its averaging of several national polls give Obama a 50 percent to 44 percent edge, with 6 percent undecided. There is no sampling error, the network said.
