MIAMI, Nov. 1 (UPI) -- Hillary Clinton campaigned Saturday in Florida for Barack Obama as Republicans made a last-ditch effort to peel away women who supported her in the primaries.
The New York senator Clinton missed a morning rally because of a flight delay, the Palm Beach Post reported. She appeared with state Rep. Luis Garcia, a Democrat and Cuban-American, at the Old San Juan Restaurant in Miami's Little Havana Restaurant.
Female voters in Florida have received a mailing from state Republicans that includes a photo of Clinton with the Republican nominee, John McCain. The text thanks Clinton for making "18 million cracks in the glass ceiling."
"Senator Clinton knows how to reach across the aisle to solve problems. Both she and John McCain have shown the American people proven results, not pretty words," voters are told.
Clinton was asked about the flier.
"Well, I'm Hillary Clinton, and I do not approve that message," she responded.
