Prodigy, 21, about to become doctor

MILWAUKEE, Oct. 31 (UPI) -- Wisconsin's Milwaukee County Zoo said a bear that refused to leave his enclosure's moat for several days has been anesthetized and taken to a holding area.
Zoo spokeswoman Jennifer Diliberti said workers used multiple darts to tranquilize the bear, named Zero, after he fell into his moat Oct. 13 and refused to leave even after keepers attempted to lure him with food, the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reported Friday.
Diliberti said staff expect the 1,100 pound bear to wake up some time late Friday in the indoor holding area where he is being monitored.
The spokeswoman said Zero will return to his public enclosure "as soon as he's able."
