McCain, Obama face off in 2008 Presidential election

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Oct. 31 (UPI) -- California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, campaigning in Ohio Friday for Republican presidential nominee John McCain, ridiculed Barack Obama's physique.

Schwarzenegger appeared at the same place -- the Nationwide Arena in Columbus -- and on the equivalent day -- the Friday before the election -- as he did four years ago when he appeared with President George W. Bush. But the crowd this time was about half the size as the one that greeted Bush in 2004, the Columbus Dispatch reported.

But the 10,000 or so people in the arena cheered enthusiastically when Schwarzenegger predicted that McCain will win, the Toledo Blade said.

"I only play an action hero in my movies, but John McCain is a real action hero," Schwarzenegger said. "John has been tested, we don't have to wonder if he's ready to be president of the United States. John McCain has served his country longer in a POW camp than his opponent has served in the United States Senate."

Schwarzenegger said he would make Obama "do some squats, and then we're going to give him some bicep curls to beef up those scrawny little arms, but if you only could do something about putting some meat on his ideas."

Bush carried Ohio in 2004. Obama is ahead there in most polls.
