CHICAGO, Oct. 30 (UPI) -- No alcohol or live music but festivities will go on in Chicago's Grant Park until 1 a.m. for Barack Obama's Election Night rally, its permit application says.

The permit, filed by C3 Presents of Austin, Texas, producers of the Lollapalooza music festival, calls for 7,500 "participants" and 65,000 spectators. However, some predict an overflow crowd to top 1 million, The Chicago Tribune said.

While no beer or booze will be on sale, vendors will be on hand to hawk pizza, hot dogs and hot chocolate.

The permit application for Democratic presidential contender's rally in the south end of Grant Park calls for 265 portable toilets, 6- and 8-foot fences, 925 iron barricades, three spotlight towers and two audio towers.

Security will be tight with attendees likely to have to pass through metal detectors and will not be allowed to carry in bags, signs, banners, chairs or strollers. Days off have been canceled for police officers and some streets may be closed.
