COLORADO SPRINGS, Oct. 28 (UPI) -- Police said they have no suspects after a mutilated deer head was found outside a Barack Obama for President office in Colorado Springs, Colo.
"Clearly, it is a very disturbing event," Colorado Springs Police Lt. David Whitlock said.
The head -- antlers cut away to resemble a donkey, the symbol of the Democratic Party -- was found Saturday night in the parking lot outside the Obama campaign office, Whitlock said.
Obama's campaign did not comment, while Republican rival John McCain's campaign Monday called the act "despicable," the Colorado Springs Gazette reported Tuesday.
The FBI announced the arrest of two men Monday who allegedly plotted to kill Obama and more than 100 students at a high school in Tennessee, while McCain volunteers reported being spit at and said one campaign worker received a death threat in Denver.
