Man freed from Utah cave crevice

PETROLIA, Calif., Oct. 26 (UPI) -- A pair of earthquakes, one 4.9 on the Richter scale, struck overnight Sunday off the coast of northern California, U.S. seismologists said.
Both temblors were centered at a depth of 11.5 miles under the Pacific Ocean about 19 miles west of Petrolia, Calif., and 41 miles southwest of Eureka, Calif., the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
The first quake was felt at 2:27 a.m. and was measured at magnitude 4.6. The second, stronger quake struck one minute later.
There were no immediate reports of damage from the earthquakes.
