Hostage victim mistakenly killed by police in Hempstead, N.Y.

CHICAGO, Oct. 26 (UPI) -- U.S. Sen. Hillary Clinton spent her 61st birthday Sunday in Chicago, the city of her birth.
Clinton spoke at a American Israel Public Affairs Committee conference, attended a fund-raiser and visited with friends, NBC reported.
The New York Democrat, who was born at Chicago's Edgewater Hospital on Oct. 26, 1947, attended a fundraiser brunch for Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama.
The event's expected $250,000 haul reportedly would also help Clinton retire some of her campaign debt from her unsuccessful run for the Democratic presidential nomination, the Chicago Tribune reported.
