BARRIE, Ontario, Oct. 25 (UPI) -- A $50,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the whereabouts of a missing teenager from Canada.

Brandon Crisp, 15, ran away from his Barrie, Ont., home Oct. 13, after he had an argument with his parents over his playing on Microsoft's Xbox video game system, Canwest News Service reported Saturday.

On Friday, Microsoft Canada said it would add $25,000 to the existing reward, raising the pot to $50,000.

Microsoft said they would do anything they can to expedite the process to find Brandon," said Barrie Police Sgt. Dave Goodbrand.

Police have spent six days combing a 25-square-mile area searching for Brandon.

The search Saturday is focused in an area where Brandon's bike was found and where a witness saw the teen about three hours after he left home, officials said.

Police said they had received more than 1,000 tips on the boy's whereabouts.
