Swim club president downplays camp comment
Thursday, July 9
KATV, Pressly's employer, released a statement from her parents saying they were with her when she died and asking for privacy.
Pressly, who anchored KATV's morning news, was discovered early Monday morning by her mother, who had become worried when she did not respond to wake-up calls. Pressly had injuries to the head and upper body later determined to be the result of a beating.
Police have made no arrests in the case.
Pressly began working for KATV as a producer and reporter after graduation from Rhodes College in Memphis. She had a small part in "W.," the Oliver Stone movie about President George W. Bush.
