FINDLAY, Ohio, Oct. 22 (UPI) -- Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin said in Ohio she's found common ground with her Democratic opponent on challenges facing the next president.
The Alaska governor, speaking at a campaign event in Findlay, Ohio, Wednesday said during the primaries Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., said "the presidency is not something that lends itself to on-the-job training.
"This is the same Joe Biden that said he would be honored to run on the ticket with John McCain because 'the country would be better off.' "
Palin, 44, who was mayor of Wasilla, Alaska, before becoming governor in 2006 said she had finally found common ground with Biden.
"Okay, I too, want a president who spent 22 years in uniform defending our great country," she said praising Republican presidential candidate Sen. John McCain of Arizona.
"I want a president who isn't afraid to use the word victory when he talks about wars that America is fighting," Palin said. "I, too, want a president ready on day one."
Biden recently said he expects the new president will face an international crisis within six months of taking office.
