Military dummy bomb hits truck

LAS VEGAS, Oct. 16 (UPI) -- Military officials say no one was injured when a 25-pound dummy bomb fell from a plane, broke apart and hit a truck in Las Vegas.

The device fell Wednesday from a Nellis Air Force Base plane and hit a truck on Las Vegas Boulevard, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported Thursday.

Dummy bombs simulate the ballistics of real air-to-ground weapons and do not carry explosives, said military officials investigating the incident.
