LAS VEGAS, Oct. 15 (UPI) -- Las Vegas police scoured the city Wednesday for a 6-year-old boy they say was kidnapped during a home-invasion robbery.

Two suspects allegedly hustled 6-year-old Cole Puffinburger out of his family home Wednesday morning after an apparent robbery attempt failed to produce any cash.

Metro told KLAS-TV, Las Vegas, the pair knocked on the door of the home and tied up Cole's mother and a male friend.

KLAS said an Amber Alert was not issued because police did not have a description of the getaway car. The public was asked to keep an eye out for two Latino men with a Caucasian boy wearing glasses and dressed in dark jeans and T-shirt.
