The latest Gallup Poll Daily tracking shows Obama leads McCain 50 percent to 43 percent.

Gallup said McCain's 43 percent showing matches his high over the past two weeks.

"Obama has held a statistically significant lead, as large as 11 points at times, over McCain among registered voters since just before the first presidential debate in late September," Gallup said in its analysis.

The candidates met Wednesday night for their final presidential debate.

The poll's results are based on combined data from Sunday to Tuesday, when 2,785 registered voters were polled. The maximum margin of sampling error is plus or minus 2 percentage points.
