In another sign of the deepening power struggle between President Viktor Yushchenko and Tymoshenko, Ukraine's UNIAN news agency reported Tuesday that Tymoshenko has not ordered allocation of the election funds as demanded by the president, RIA Novosti said.
The National Security and Defense Council, Ukraine's top security body, Monday urged the government transfer the money to election officials. But that hadn't happened by Tuesday, UNIAN reported.
Tymoshenko had called an emergency Cabinet session for later Tuesday.
Yushchenko's move to dissolve parliament and call early elections was overturned Saturday by the Kiev District Court, which ruled in favor of a lawsuit filed by Tymoshenko's party. In response, Yushchenko signed a decree Monday abolishing the court and replacing it with two administrative courts, RIA Novosti reported.
