TIJUANA, Mexico, Oct. 13 (UPI) -- Seven people were killed and three others wounded in the latest round of Tijuana, Mexico, drug cartel violence, officials said.
Two men dining at a Tijuana restaurant and an employee were slain Sunday, while four others were killed in the eastern part of the city and three men were wounded at Mariscos Negro Durazo, in the tourist district of Tijuana's Rio Zone, The San Diego Union-Tribune reported.
Mexican authorities said Saturday seven presumed drug cartel gunmen had been detained after a federal police task force stormed a house in Tijuana's Loma Dorada neighborhood, the Times-Union reported.
Officials told the newspaper agents discovered an arms cache that included AK-47 and R-15 rifles and thousands of shells, as well as uniforms reportedly used by gunmen working for a gang fighting for control of the city's Arellano cartel.
