LAFAYETTE, La., Oct. 13 (UPI) -- Authorities in Lafayette, La., say several people suffered minor injuries Monday when a car caught fire after colliding with a school bus.

Sarah Clark, the driver of the car, and her two children were pulled to safety from their badly damaged car after Clark allegedly ran a stop sign and hit the Lafayette Parish School bus, the Lafayette (La.) Daily Advertiser reported.

Clark, who was issued a citation, and her children were treated for minor injuries as were several of the 15 St. Cecilia School students who were on the bus, the Advertiser reported.

None of the injuries were life threatening, police said.
