Teacher suspended after pro-Obama video

KANSAS CITY, Mo., Oct. 7 (UPI) -- A Kansas City, Mo., charter school teacher has been suspended after video of his class chanting the praises of Barack Obama surfaced on YouTube.

The video, which was taken in May when the Democratic presidential nominee was still battling Hilary Clinton in the primaries, depicts a group of boys from the Urban Community Leadership Academy middle school marching in formation and chanting about how Obama's candidacy has inspired them to become architects, lawyers and entrepreneurs, The Kansas City Star reported Tuesday.

The school's director, Joyce McGautha, said boys' teacher has been suspended and will receive a hearing before the charter school's board. She told Fox News that she does not condone the video as public school teachers are barred from supporting candidates in the classroom.
