LOEI, Thailand, Oct. 4 (UPI) -- Two people on a helicopter bound for Thailand's Phu Kradung national park were injured when the vehicle crashed Saturday, an official said.

Deputy air force spokesman Monthon Sachdukorn said the helicopter had been carrying supplies to the park's telecommunication center when it suddenly crashed at the Loei province site, the Bangkok Post reported.

The condition of the two people injured in the morning crash and its cause were unknown.

The Post said there had been heavy winds and rain in the area at the time of the crash.
