Blast kills half-dozen in Lebanon

TRIPOLI, Lebanon, Sept. 29 (UPI) -- At least six people died and more than 30 people were injured Monday in a bombing of a bus boarding Lebanese army troops in northern Lebanon, officials said.

A senior military source said the bomb exploded during the morning rush hour at a bus station in Tripoli, Lebanon, was targeting a mini-bus boarding troops, KUNA, the Kuwaiti news agency reported.

Army forces sealed off the area to begin an investigation, KUNA said.

Last month, an explosion targeting a bus in a business district in Tripoli killed at least 12 people and wounded 50.
