
LOS ANGELES, Sept. 28 (UPI) -- Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama has widened his lead over Republican John McCain since the two debated in Oxford, Miss., Friday, a poll indicates.
A post-debate Los Angeles Times/Bloomberg survey shows that Obama leads McCain, 49 percent to 44 percent. Obama gained one point in the poll following the debate, the Times reported Sunday.
The poll found that Obama was seen as more "presidential" by 46 percent of the debate watchers, compared with 33 percent who said McCain looked more presidential.
After the debate, 43 percent of respondents who saw the debate said Obama had more "honesty and integrity," compared with 34 percent who said McCain did.
The survey of 448 registered voters who watched the debate was conducted Friday evening through Sunday. The margin of error was 4 percent.
