SEOUL, Sept. 27 (UPI) -- South Korean President Lee Myung-bak will meet with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev next week in Moscow, officials said Saturday.

Yonhap reported the two leaders will discuss, among other things, economic issues and North Korea's nuclear ambitions.

Lee will leave for Russia Sunday. The South Korean leader plans to call for a peaceful resolution to North Korea's nuclear ambitions, the news service reported.

Lee will meet with Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin Wednesday before returning home.

Traveling with Lee are South Korean businessmen seeking to establish agreements with their Russian counterparts for joint industrial and scientific endeavors.

Lee, who was elected to office in February, visited the United States and Japan in April and China in May.
