JERUSALEM, Sept. 26 (UPI) -- The Israeli government has granted full amnesty to 10 Fatah militants as part of an ongoing gesture of goodwill, Palestinian sources say.
Unidentified sources were quoted Friday as saying that the Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades militants were among 45 wanted Palestinians who are now free from prosecution in Israel, Ynetnews said.
The amnesty offerings are part of a goodwill gesture to the Palestinian National Authority ahead of next week's Eid al-Fitr holiday.
The offerings also come in the wake of Israeli officials creating a list that contains the names of 49 men who will receive amnesty from Israeli prosecution.
Since 22 of those men are incarcerated in Palestinian prisons, they will serve a three-month probation period following their release before being freed of prosecution.
Ynetnews said an additional group of individuals facing arrest in Israel will be released from PNA prisons but will be required to stay within the group's governance.
